11:17 am - Certain events have transpired prompting me to write an actual post. YES.
OKAY! So FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH!EEEEEEEEEK!

Actually it was pretty fucking awesome.

FIRST:

I got to miss school because of the Stratford field trip, and certain people who aren't in my class went, which made me extremely happy. Customs was fun, especially the US one. The play was sweet, the town was cute, and it snowed like a mother. Oh well, it's Cananda.

NOW TO THE OTHER HALF OF MY DAY:

I MET KEITH FROM WE ARE SCIENTISTS OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, explanation: After getting home at 10, Addie came over and we booked downtown to the We Are Scientists concert. :) Much fun. We gave cupcakes to the Spinto Band, bought a bunch of stuff, And then we were trying to prove how much more hardcore we were than these two canadian guys, by staying longer than them. :) Oh yeah. But they turned out to be nice. And so was the guy at the deli counter! There was one asshole who decided he would tell keith where to stick it, so the whole audience ganged up on him. Everyone, except us and the rest of the underage crowd, were believed to be completely trashed. It was great.

8:42 am - Taste Of Chaos!
Okay, sorry for the long wait. I'm not good with journals, never have been. Anyways, today I'll tell you about Taste of Chaos. We went Friday night. It was at Cobo, so we were really excited. (We = Me, Mom, Jill, Colleen, & Aislinne) After getting ripped off for parking, ($10! At least the guy could buy himself some new teeth with the cash he was making...)we started the long trek to Cobo, which was actually a block. These guys in an Explorer yelled to us, so we waved. And then they stuck their tongues out at us in a very perverted manner. Losers. So we finally get in and...I'll type the rest later. I need to work on my website! Arrrrgh! (I'm posting in school, so, ya know....)

Hey everybody! Ick, it's Sunday. That means school tomorrow! NOOOOO!

*sigh*

Well, I should tell you about the last few days, all of which have been incredibly...WICKED. LOL.

Thursday!~

I believe I already told you, but today I get to go see Phantom of the Opera. The play/musical/opera, not movie. We had to sit in the far top balcony of the Masonic Temple Theatre, but the show was excellent. The place was pretty nice, too, except where we were sitting there wasn't any room. Talk about nosebleed section. But, I was right, **** ***** was there! Whoo! I didn't get to sit by him though...I had to sit inbetween my french teacher and this very...nice...girl, Jenny. It was cool to sit next to the teacher because she made the annoying girls who were behind us shut up. And Jenny was actually pretty nice. If you couldn't tell before...that first nice was completely sarcastic. ^^

But anyways, I've never seen that show before so it was a really nice experience. On the bus going homw though, the teachers were making sure everyone was on board, but for some reason somebody didn't know I was there, and said, "Kara Drapala's not on the bus!" And a bunch of people started looking for me. I was sitting near the front, and was like, "I'm on the bus! o.o" lol. It was just a funny little thing. But we didn't get back to school until 4:30, and I only got to bowl a few bakers before it was time to leave practice. The team party was awesome! Poor Marty...smack that bitch up! *She knows who I'm talking about!* Sara, Marty, Lauren, and I were playing a basketball game, I think it was college teams, and Sara made the players do absolutely DISGUSTINGLY funny things with slow-mo replay. We played pool, where I hit the lamp. OMG - I thought I would just DIE from embarrassment! How awful! But everyone pretty much ignored it. Whew! BS was fun, but Sara got whacked in the head. All in all it was very fun.

Friday!~

Friday was pretty uneventful for the early parts. Later, I went with my mom to Red Lobster, where I saw Katie having dinner. There was a really cute busboy there too! After, I went to my sister's game, then ran home, got my bowling stuff, and went to get Marty. I drove whoot! We picked her up, then began our journey. I thought it was going to be alot farther away than it was, but there you go. It was only in Sterling Heights. (The 'hood! LOL) After pulling up to the Baymont, we went to Buddy's and got a massive hot fudge sundae. It was frickin' SWEET. Literally. And then, when we were leaving, we almost ran into this dude who was talking WAY to loud on his cell phone. >< I must have been on a sugar HIGH, b/c I was buzzing for the rest of the night. Then my mom said, "Let's go check out the lanes." (We where in Sterling Heights for the High School Bowling State Tournament, FYI) So we piled back in the car with all our stuff, and tried to find the place. However, we got lost, so we stopped at this gas station, but the guy didn't know where it was. Next, we tried Friday's, but the girl there had never even heard of the place. FINALLY, the uber hot guy at Joe's Crab Shack told us where it was. DAMN, he was hot. Unfortunately, I cannot talk to guys at all. So here was our conversation:

Me: Excuse me, could you tell us where Sunnybrook Lanes is?
Guy: *finishes tying garbage bag...well that's what it looked like!* Yeah, sure. Take this road, and turn right at....ect. ect....Why are you going up there anyway?
Me: Um, oh....to bowl. Tomorrow...eheh...
Guy: Oh, that's cool.
Me: Yeah, um...okay...thanksbye! *runs away*

LOL! >< Sad, but truthful. Anyways, we got to the lanes, which were HUGE. We decided to bowl two games, and got put on these lanes next to this group of hot "farm boys". The best-looking one, Dusty, sucked at bowling, but who cares? He was hot. LOl. Shallow much? YES! XD Anyways, it was really hard to bowl because they didn't have the freaking lights on. I couldn't see my arrow and basically sucked. Oh well. We got back to the hotel, and I lost my key. >< So I had to backtrack and find it. I saw the dude from the lobby earlier with his stoner-looking friends. They were pretty weird. He looks like somebody I know, but it's not. >< Then, me and Marty were trying to get something to drink. But every vending machine in the place was sold out! Ecept for the one on our floor, which was fully loaded. SO after bugging the front desk people numerous times for change, we finally got drinks and went back to the room, where we watched Conan O'Brien. Martha come to me! I was flipping through this magazine also, and it was just an excuse for editors to answer letters about sex problems people had! What a rip! >< Anyways, I fell asleep around 2:30. Just because I had to catch the end of SportsCenter. ^^

SATURDAY!~

Saturday was the actual tournament! Yay! As soon as me and Marty got there, we heard about the boys' 300 baker game. And we were all, O.O SWEET! After putting our stuff in the seriously small room they set aside for us, we watched the boys finish up before heading off to do battle with Caro. We lost though, by about 120 pins (ouch!). Marty and I didn't get to play, which was pretty lame, but it wasn't our decision. Oh well, I'm just happy I got to go. Strangely, I felt nothing of the others' nervousness at the actual tournament. I know this sounds pretty self-absorbed and childish, but I really wasn't even a part of the whole process. I didn't bowl at Catholics or Regionals, so truthfully, I wasn't expecting to bowl at States either. I'm going to prove to the coach that next year, I can't be sitting on the sidelines! *Encouraging music* This year was nothing! NEXT YEAR I'll be so ready! *flaming eyes* Just watch me! .........
.........................Okay, now that the moment has passed...so yeah, we lost. In a few short hours, our bid for the state title was down the drain - I mean, the 'trevo'. I got a free lunch though! Marty and I stayed to watch the guys. And Kelli came too! For the first game we had to sit on the floor, and we were sitting on the very first step, when this old dude came and told us we had to move! Because we were a fire hazard! >< w/e

So eventually, we found a comfortable seat. The guys won again. And Blake and those guys ate the Twizzlers. o.o We actually got a good seat for the next match, mostly because most people had left already. So we just watched, and made the occasional joke, which included:

- The dark lord/he-who-must-not-be-named/darth vader is a very pretty boy. AND he is related to the Oxford lanes guy! And Marty is SO over him. And he is very violent. Doing the hand thing, kicking ball returns, and the like. Favorite quote: "About fucking time, bitches!" ^()^
- Lil' Lee (future rap superstar) got our sympathy...
- Lee-y! Chris-y! Kevin-y! Lee-y! Joe-y!
- TREVO!
- We need to go clothes shopping for some of these people. Pants for that girl, and a bra for that dude!
- Some people look angry, even when they get a strike.
- Lee's expressions! When he gets a strike: o.o ... A spare: o.o ... A gutter: o.o LOL!
- The difference in reactions of guys and girls. When a guy gets a strike, he goes "AHH! Fear me bitches!" When a girl gets astrike, she goes, "Awesome! =^^=" & when a guy get a gutter or something, he goes "WHAT THE (*&*%^$^*(, *(*&%^*%^$$#&%$!" and proceeds to either smack his hand or kick the ball return. A girl will be like, "Aw man. That's gay. Oh well, I'll get it next time! Haha...damn!"
- Questioning the sexual preference of some people. Guys, don't hug like lovers, okay? At least not in public. LOL.
-And um....THE GUY AT JOE"S WAS SO HOT!

And that's all I have....Oh wait....I just read Marty's list, so let me comment....

6:46 pm - Waking Ashland!
Okay, so let's get on . Now on to the good part!

So after This Day and Age played, it was finally Waking Ashland! The band looked about the same, maybe a bit hairier. I feel bad for them though, they're from from Cali, so coming to Michigan in the middle of winter can't have been that exciting. But, they came, so props to them! Lol, Jonathan said he liked our motto: Great Lakes, Great State. He was sick, poor guy. I guess they were all sick! But anyways, they put on a great show. Even though this is only my second WA show, I love going to see them. After the concert, we got to talk with Jonathan, and we saw Ryan hitting on a girl. Even while sick, lol. Anyways, my mom took us to the concert, and she's a nurse. So, as soon as she heard the man say he was sick, she was like, o.o. So what does she do? She goes up to Jonathan and said, "I'm a nurse, lemme give you a little tip. For colds, try this: get a pitcher of hot water, put in some salt, and then suck it up through your nose."
..
....
......
....
..
O.O
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

No, I didn't do that. I only passed out.

Later in the car, she told us that you could tell he was really sick because he then asked her how hot the water had to be. And I was all, "Aw! Jonathan! T.T" lol. Well, The Music was playing upstairs, so we heard a few seconds before we left. I with my signed T-shirt and pins, and Rachel with her poster and CD. Wh00t for merch! Well, that my account. I cant wait to go see another show at the shelter!!!!!!

Mr.Lights, out.

PS - FUTURE BOWLING STATE CHAMPS, HELL YES!!!!!!!!!

8:44 am - Weekend-ness
Okay, no updates in awhile. Sorry about that, I've been pretty busy lately...so, let's get on with it. I guess I'll write about my weekend...

Friday~

We got out of school early, which is always nice. It was the Sadie Hawkins dance at school, so I had to get dressed up. (It's so hard to dance in a dress.)I went out dinner with a whole bunch of people, Ace, Katie, Kelly, Dan, Kelli, Blake, Colleen, Davy, Darrin, Elle, and Jenny. Oh, and Marie. :) We wnt to Antonio's, and had a great time, especially trying to get a good photo of the hot waiter. ^_^ Finally, Kelly just went up and asked him if she could have one, lol. Can't wait for those doubles. The dance was, surprisingly, rather boring. After that, a bunch of us, pretty much the same group from dinner, went bowling, from 11-12:30. That was fun!

Saturday~

Saturday, I had Regionals for bowling, to see if we could qualify for states. I overslept, but I got there with plenty of time to spare, thankfully. It really didn't matter though, because I didn't get to play. Yeah, was I pissed for awhile afterwards-who wouldn't be? I got home and slept for awhile, and that really cleared my head. So what if I didn't play? At least Coach Nancy has enough faith in my abilities to keep my ready just in case something happens. So, if that's the case, I'll wait patiently. :) That took me awhile to write, lol. At least I got a shirt. And the next day was SUNDAY!

SUNDAY!~

Okay, you're probably wondering why I'm so excited. School, tomorrow, right? It was cool though, because that was the day of the Waking Ashland concert! If you don't know, we (Rachel and I) first saw them at the Warped Tour. We just wanted to be at the front for one band. So we found this little stage, and stayed for the end of this one group, then rushed to the railing as soon as everyone cleared out, just so we could say we were in front for SOMEBODY. Well, it urns out, Waking Ashland was the next band, so we sat there through them setting up, and the sound check, which was about 45 minutes. Maybe they thought we were hardcore fnas or something, because they were really, really nice. But that's another story. (another journal, actually!^^;) We saw them at he shelter, this little tiny basement right under St. Andrews Hall, in Detroit. (We saw the ghetto sign, lol)So we got a parking spot (FREE), and proceeded to almost get lost walking around the buildings following these guys who looked like they knew what they were doing. Ironically, we had only to climb over a snowdrift from our car, but oh well, Chalk it up to life experience. Well, we and about 50 other people were sitting in the icy alley, waiting for the door to open, freezing, when we saw a van! Yay! The band! Only problem is, the van got stuck, so that took 15 minutes to dig out. Then another 15 minutes to unload the stuff. Finally, they let us in. It was pretty cool, and WARM, and I'm still sporting the black X on my right hand that says I'm under 21! Well, we got in and explored. The bathroom was satanic looking, but very clean. It's a pretty sweet-looking place, all black and red, with multicolor lighting. We ran to get a good spot by the stage, but ended up behind these two annoying girls. >< So anyway, we stood around for awhile, listening to the band upstairs and some music they played over the speakers. (When the speaker music whet off, you could hear them upstairs. Actually, you could hear them upstairs the whole time. BTW, the ceiling doesn't shake. At least, I didn't see it...there was a loose board though!)
Then the bands started. Well, the first one was actually just a guy with a guitar. His band didn't show up, poor guy. And he still played for us, which was awesome. According to Rachel, he only played three chords over and over. He did say he slammed his finger in a car door, but I'm sure it would have sounded better if the whole band had been there. The second band, the weekend, was familiar too. We saw them at the local stage on the Warped Tour, so that was pretty cool. We were so close to them, (pics when I develop them). At the shelter, the stage is only about 8x4, and one foot high, so we were like, RIGHT there. Awesome, it was awesome. And after them, the actual opening band, This Day and Age, played. WAI! They were really sweet. Just goes to show how many good bands you never hear about. The lead singer was pretty cute, and he did this thing where he would go up on his toes to sing into the mic, which I just found funny. I hope the pictures come out, those two annoying girls are going to be in every one, I just know it. But anyways, one of the guitarists was like, WEIRD! He was going about playing like a "fairy", at least, I think that's what we called him. He looked like he was having spasms, or something, and the way he was headbanding, GEEZ, he was just asking for whiplash, brain damage, or a concussion. Or all three. lol. The other guy had no expression on his face, too. HILARIOUS! HE was all, "I'm so aloof-watch this hair flick." *Hair flick* "Oh yeah." Then the drummer, he really mystified me. He was like, a psycho on the drums, then turned into this gentle keyboarder. o.O Go figure. He was cool though. It almost looked like the singer and drummer might be related...and that was totally irrelevant, but, just so you know. Okay, this class is almost over, so I'll tell you about Waking Ashland later. I know, you're just dying to hear about it, right?
